The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it. (Psalms 68:11).

Our word of the month comes to strengthen, encourage and enlighten. Stop by often to get fresh insight and be empowered to live a full and meaningful life!

There are many definitions for the word bless: The word bless means to salute, congratulate, thank, praise, and to kneel.  Bless also means to invoke divine care for, to confer happiness upon, to increase in prosperity.

God is the blesser. He is the one that gives us the ability for living a rich full life.

In John 10:10, the bible says " The thief does not come except to steal, and kill, and destroy. But Jesus says that he came that we may have life, and that we may have it more abundantly."

According to the Strong Concordance # 4053 the word abundantly, perissos (per-is-sos) means superabundance, excessive, overflowing, surplus, over and above, more than enough, profuse, extraordinary, more than sufficient.

The word abundantly describes God's best for us, He doesn't want us living beneath our privilege.

In Genesis 12:1-3, The Lord says to Abram, "Get out of your country, from around your  family, and from your father's house to a land that I will show you. God said to Abram I will make you a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thy shalt be a blessing: I will bless them that bless you, and curse him that curse you:  And in you shall all families of the earth be blessed.”

As we examine this portion of scripture we can see that God made some promises to Abram. He promised Abram that He would make his name great, and cause him to be a blessing to others. The first thing God instructed Abram to do was to get out from around his family and go to a place that was unfamiliar to him.  The bible says that Abram obeyed, putting his trust and care in the hand of the Lord. He believed what God said, and that He would make it good.

The preceding scripture works in conjunction with Genesis 17:2,6-7. Here God revealed Himself to Abram as El Shaddai, the all bountiful one, the God who is more than enough. God then makes a covenant with Abram. A covenant is a binding contract, agreement, pledge or vow with two or more people.  Because of this covenant it was necessary to change his name. In this covenant He promised to make him exceedingly fruitful, make nations of him, and kings should come from him. The Lord promised to establish this covenant between Himself, Abraham, and Abraham's descendants. Because of this covenant the promises that God blessed Abraham with also belong to us too. God promised to give all believers the blessings of Abraham. The bible says that Jesus became a curse for us so that we might receive the blessing of Abraham. (Galatians 3:13,14). If we can believe it, we can receive. God will not withhold any good thing from us as the seed of Abraham.

According to 3rd John 2, the Lord says He wants us to prosper. This includes prospering spiritually, emotionally, physically, financially, and materially. This is a new season and a new day, a time of restoration. God wants to restore all that the cankerworm, palmerworm, the locust, and the caterpillar has eaten up. This is the time to step out of your comfort zone, forsake that which is familiar, and separate yourself from those things that hold you in bondage. It's time to leave Egypt.

Your Egypt maybe the mental warfare of doubt, unbelief, tradition, fear, emotional pain, cycles of hardship, or a poverty mentality. Whatever it is, it's time to shift the atmosphere with your prayers. It’s time to cancel the enemy's assignment against you, and exercise your rights as a believer by activating your faith through diligently obeying the word of God as it says in Deuteronomy 28:1-14.

It’s time to step out on God's promise to bless you, and increase you to overflowing. Take the limit off!!!  Remember in this season there are NO LIMITS!!!  The key to receiving all that God has promised is obedience. God wants to reveal Himself as the El Shaddai in your life, the God that's more than enough. He wants to make you the head and not the tail. It's His desire to bless you when you come in and when you go out. Claim this season to be your season of the rain. Ask God to remove the barrenness, decree you are blessed and have favor with God and man. You can have what you say, so prophesy, decree it, and so shall it be established. Receive your increase now, in Jesus name.

Let Us Pray!

The Lord bless you, and keep you:  The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you: The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. Amen (The Aaronic Blessing-Benediction)

Fear can be used as a verb according to Merriam-Webster dictionary and has varying definitions. 1) it is to have a reverent awe of God. 2) to be afraid of: have fear. 3) to be apprehensive. Fear used as a noun means an unpleasant often strong emotion caused by expectation or awareness of danger; 2) anxious concern, dread, fright, alarm, panic, terror, and trepidation-nervous agitation.

Different Types of Fear

There are many types of fear that we struggle with. There is the fear of rejection, the fear of failure, the fear of the unknown, the fear of sickness, the fear of people, fear of being alone, fear of poverty, fear of losing our jobs or our homes, fear of not being able to pay our bills, and the list goes on and on.

As you read this teaching what worries and anxieties constantly invade your mind, robbing you of your peace?

Job's Fear

Job 3:25 says, "For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me."

Job was a man who was perfect and upright before God. He feared God and eschewed (avoided, shunned) evil. This man of God had seven sons and three daughters. He was a man of great substance. God blessed him with seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred she asses, and many servants. He was known as the wealthiest man of the east.

With all that Job still had a problem. His greatest fear was that his children sinned unknowingly because of their lifestyle. The bible says that Job offered sacrifices continually for them, asking God to forgive them of their sins and transgressions.

The bible says that there was a day that the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also. The LORD begin to question Satan, by asking him where he was coming from. Satan answered by saying he was going to and fro in the earth, and walking up and down in it. The bible says that God asked Satan the question, have you considered my servant Job? God begins to brag on Job by saying there is none like him in the earth. He is a perfect and upright man, one that feareth God and escheweth evil? Satan continues his conversation with God by saying that Job was serving God because of the material blessing, if He moved the hedge of protection that Job would curse God to His face.

The bible says that Satan is an accuser of the brethren, just like he accused Job for serving God just for the blessings, he says the same thing about us. God removed the hedge of protection and turned everything over to Satan except one servant, and Job's wife who evidently worked for Satan.

Overcoming Fear

Job was a man who was consumed with fear. He agonized over his children committing some awful sin. He did this until it became a stronghold in his mind. According to Prophetess Mattie Nottage in her book Breaking the Chains, From Worship to Warfare, strongholds are belief systems consisting of ideas and ideologies that govern individuals, groups of people, small communities,or even entire nations. Strongholds are agents of Satan assigned to keep us in bondage.

Fear is a spirit that operates as a paralyzing force to stop the work of God in an individual. Fear operates in the same way faith does, only from the negative. With faith we believe in our heart and confess with our mouth and we have what we say. Fear does the same, we speak out negative things that come to our mind and like a magnet it comes to us. The scripture says in II Timothy 1:7, "That God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and a sound mind." The scripture says that fear hath torment.

What are you afraid of? Is it man? The LORD says in Hebrews 13:5b,6, "For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, the LORD is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me." Do you fear people? Well, the LORD says in Jeremiah 1:8- "Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD." Are you overwhelm by life situation and circumstances? The word declares through the Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 43:1,2, "But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, fear not: For I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name: thou art mine. When thou passeth through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee." Isaiah 41:10 says, "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strenghten thee, yea, I will help thee; yea I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Is it sickness? Psalm 118:17 says, "I shall not die, but live, and declare the work of the LORD."

We must renounce fear and every spirit associated with it, and put in our spirit what the Word has to say about our situation and us as covenant people with God. God says His word will not return to Him void, but will accomplish what He please, and prosper in the thing it is sent after. Even before I could write this article I had to close the doors to procrastination, slothfulness, fear of the unknown, fear of rejection, fear of people, fear of failure, fear of doubt and unbelief. I did this through prayer. As I prayed God showed me what spirits to kick out of my thoughts/mind, and what positive spirits I needed to put back (faith, courage, etc.). II Corinthians 10:5 tells us to cast down evil imaginations that exalt itself above the knowledge of God and bring our thoughts into obedience to the word of God. I replaced the negative belief system with. I can do all things through Christ Jesus which strengthens me. I begin to tell Satan to get out of my mind, vacate the premises, I closed the door to fear. I told him I believe God, I trust God, I believe His word even as He told me. Then I asked God for a paradigm shift in my mind, I repeated this several times over, and over again. I released the peace of God to inhabit my thoughts. I canceled the spirit of bondage and oppression also in Jesus name. The results is this word of the month to edify, exhort, and encourage you to step out of fear and embrace the faith which was delivered to the saints of God.

Let us pray!!!

Father, we come in the mighty name of Jesus, declaring your glory, the bloodline of protection, and the anointing to destroy the yokes of bondage in our life. We renounce the spirit of fear, bondage, and torment. We cancel his assignment against us. LORD, fear paralyzes, fear stops us from moving forward in our appointed destinies. We take authority over this spirit and we decree and declare a new way of thinking, we declare a paradigm shift is taking place in our minds. We repent for allowing this strongman to rule and have dominion for so long. We take our life back, we ask the Holy Spirit to teach us how to walk in continued victory by renewing our minds daily. Each day give us the grace, and strength to exercise our rights through prayer, fasting, and the word. This we ask in Jesus name. Amen. So be it!!!

Sustain is our word of the month. It has several definitions. Sustain means to maintain, to nourish, to provide food, bear (a burden), hold up, protect, support, defend, to supply the means necessary for living.

In these difficult and trying times of inflation, high gas prices, unemployment, and financial uncertainty we often find ourselves struggling with worry, anxiety, stress, fear, and depression. Let me encourage you from the word of God. In Psalm 55:22 it says "Cast your burdens on the Lord, and He shall sustain thee; He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." Know that God will sustain you no matter what you're going through.

The bible speaks of a situation in I Kings 17:8-16. In this passage of scripture God instructed the Man Of God to get up and go to Zarepath in Zidon where He (God) had commanded a little widow woman to take care of him during this time of famine. Out of obedience to God he went to Zarepath and found the widow there picking up sticks to make her last meal for herself and her son. The Man of God asked her to make a cake for him first and bring him some water. The woman, like so many of us, began to complain and explain her situation of barely having enough for them. He encouraged her to take care of him first. Here we can see the importance of putting God first. Putting the prophet's needs first is symbolic of putting God first. For the scripture says, "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and everything that you stand in need of will be added".

This story is good example of casting your burdens on the Lord and God coming to the rescue. Just like He did it for the widow woman and also the prophet I can testify to God's sustaining power. The Lord told me to make this scripture part of my daily confession by reading it out aloud everyday. Because the word of God is spirit and life, God used this same portion of scripture to sustain me. The Lord prepared people who would provide for me and my family during those times of great struggle and hardship. The people that He used didn't realize that they were on assignment from the Lord to help me, but I knew and recognized that it was the good hand of the Lord using them to be a blessing to me. God is no respecter person. If He moved for me He will move on your behalf when you give Him all your burdens and concerns. He tells us not to be anxious about anything in other word stop fretting, and stressing, and fearing the worse. Put your trust in God, believe you receive when you pray, praise Him for the answer even when it has not come to pass yet.

Spiritual Application:

Father, your word says whosoever shall say unto this mountain be thy removed and cast in the sea and doubt not in his heart, but believe that those things which he says will be done, he will have what he says. Father in Jesus name I cast down fear, anxiety, stress, worry, discouragement, and depression. I cancel every assignment against me and decree and declare that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. I declare that you are Jehovah-jireh my provider and I have more than enough to met my every need. I pray now asking you to reveal yourself in each situation, ministering angels go forth and war on my behalf. This I ask in Jesus name. Lord bless the readers, hearers, and doers of this word. Amen

God bless you,

Pastor Betty Jamison

Sabotage according to Webster’s dictionary is deliberate destruction. It is destructive or hampering action by enemy agents.

Beware of the spirit of sabotage

Sabotage is a strong demonic spirit with the agenda to stop, deliberately prevent the operation, success, and progress of God’s appointed destinies, purposes, potentials, organizations, dreams, visions, and relationships. It operates by stirring up jealousy and strife. It keeps contention going. It works to promote resentment and suspicion. It can be vindictive toward people. Self-sabotage is a destructive spirit that focuses on the insecurities of the individual to destroy personal progress or ground gained. Sabotage is sent to hinder and discourage relationship.

The conspiracy of sabotage is revealed in the book of Nehemiah. The bible says that Nehemiah, who was the cupbearer to the king, received a burden from the Lord to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. He was met with great opposition through ridicule, anger, mockery, and continued threats of war to hinder the work. The bible says that Nehemiah and those who worked with him overcame the opposition by continuously staying focus and praying. Nehemiah was a man destined with purpose, who remained vigilant and focused through prayer and God gave him the victory over his enemies. Through repentance, fasting, intercession, and prayer we to can walk in victory.

Spiritual Application:

Father God in the name of Jesus, you said two is stronger than one, so I stand in agreement with every person who has and still is plagued by the spirit of sabotage. I ask you to sharpen our discernment to recognize the spirit of sabotage and his co-conspirators who are sent to hinder, prevent, and stop the operations, and success of our destinies, purposes, potentials, dreams, visions, ministries, and relationships. We take authority over jealousy, strife, contention, resentment, discouragement, vindictiveness, and self-destructive behavior. We bind their works and cancel every assignment in the mighty name of Jesus. We plead the blood over our minds, decreeing and declaring a new mindset. We stand on your word that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. So Lord, now we ask you to raise up a standard against the enemy of our soul. Release the angels to war on our behalf. I pray Lord God that you will anoint this word and prayer with your yoke removing power, destroying every yoke that wants to hold us in captivity. Receive this prayer I pray in Jesus name. Thank you...Amen
